FEBRUARY 10, 2012  “Tracie’s Music Together” Mommy-and-Me Music and Movement classes begin on Wednesday: February 29. Classes will continue every Wednesday at 10:00am at the Paris Ballet Studio and are in ten week semesters. These music and movement classes are for ages 0 - 4 with a caregiver! The program builds on a child's natural enthusiasm for music and dance. Participants meet weekly to experience songs, chants, movement activities and instrumental jam sessions. Also performing are Paris Ballet and Dance students Julia Doering and Kiel Peterson as The Nutcracker Prince, DECEMBER 5, 2011 A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR  Dear Students, Parents, Volunteers, Patrons and Friends,The words “extremely pleased” cannot express exactly how I feel about this past weekend’s performances of The Nutcracker. The production was a huge success on many levels and I am so proud and extremely grateful to everyone who helped make it all happen. The students danced at a wonderfully high and professional level. This is exactly why they work so hard in class and rehearsal. Their hard work showed! Thank you to the dedicated mothers who diligently worked fitting and sewing costumes ...And to those who worked backstage. This kind of help is absolutely invaluable. Productions like this cannot be done without their help. Thank you to all the guest artists. We are so honored to have had them appear with us. Their level of professionalism certainly helped bring our production of The Nutcracker -- over the top. I would also like to thank the parents for the thoughtful personal gifts and incredible flat screen television for the studio. They are much appreciated! Everyone was working at their highest levels and seems excited for tonight's Opening! Tickets may be purchased the door starting one hour before the performance. DECEMBER 2, 2011 Last night was the final studio run-thru. Today, the dancers will be rehearsing at the theatre. From the tiniest Peppermint Candy to the regal Sugarplum Fairy and her handsome Cavalier, the cast looks ready to go. The Nutcracker Opens Saturday! View Newscast NOVEMBER 30, 2011 AS SEEN ON TV: Television stations WPTV 5, WFLX FOX 29 AND WPEC 12 were in the studio yesterday to film rehearsals for The Nutcracker. Segments were shown last night. Watch tonight on WFLX FOX 29 (10:00 report) and WPTV 5 (11:00 report). They will also air tomorrow morning and the noon reports! NOVEMBER 29, 2011 Final studio run-thrus began for The Nutcracker. All cast members were present INCLUDING the incredibly talented guest artists. It was great to watch the mesmerized faces all the young dancers as Lily Ojea and Rogelio Corrales ran the grand pas de deux. Excitement is truly building to an incredible Opening Night this weekend. As mentioned before guest artists are begining to be seen more often as the production of The Nutcracker comes closer to Opening Night! Today, students were able to work with Idael German, Marshal Levin and Joseph J. Bucheck III. NOVEMBER 6, 2011Studio rehearsal run-thrus of The Nutcracker have officially started. This past weekend, guest artists Idael German and Joseph J. Bucheck III were present. As the show dates get closer, more guest artists will be in the studio! This is an exciting time because student cast members get to actually work with these very talented and experienced artists! OCTOBER 19, 2011 Paris Ballet and Dance has been invited to perform a 15 minute short version of The Nutcracker at Downtown at the Gardens for their Tree Lighting Event on Saturday November 26th at 7pm. We are thrilled and thank Michaela Wilkinson, so very much, for helping to make this possible! OCTOBER 15, 2011 The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach’s "Annual Nutcracker Tea" will feature Paris Ballet and Dance performing an abbreviated version of The Nutcracker. There will be two performances on Saturday December 17th 2011. This holiday event is an extravaganza for all senses. Besides great entertainment, this event at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach always includes fabulous food and wonderful activities for their children guests. OCTOBER 3, 2011 Director Mr. Feray is happy to announce that his choreography of the ballet Etudes will be performed by the Dreyfoos School of the Arts dance students in their upcoming Fall Concert. This season, Paris Ballet and Dance is very excited and proud to present the spectacular FULL-LENGTH version of this holiday classic. The production will feature beautiful costumes, fabulous sets, along with, incredible guest artists. Also, due to public demand, there will be TWO big shows -- an evening performance and a matinee. So, with casting having long been posted, rehearsals have already started. There's a buzz in the studio as the ultimate holiday fantasy comes true!. SEPTEMBER 9, 2011 The cast list for The Nutcracker is up. Casting a show can be very difficult. There are very many complex aspects to consider. Like with all productions, decisions are NEVER made lightly. Thank you to all that participated in the audition in August. ...And let rehearsals begin! HAVE A GREAT LONG WEEKEND! AUGUST 24, 2011 Important information about auditions for The Nutcracker: Exact times for Ballet Levels to audition are now available! Please refer to the Audition Page (pdf). There are limited parts to be cast. Turn in need your commitment letters as soon as possible. The cast list will be released as soon as all of the letters are received. The deadline is September 1. If you are scheduled for two or more ballet classes a week, you must attend all of them to be cast in The Nutcracker and other performances. Please call if you will not be in class. AUGUST 21, 2011 We had a GREAT first week! Founder and Director Jean-Hugues Feray and the entire staff at Paris Ballet and Dance were so very happy to see all the students back in their respected classes. With a high sense of energy and excitment, everyone showed that they were ready for another year of hard work, deep commitment, creativity and FUN. JULY 31, 2011 Paris Ballet and Dance welcomes new ballet teachers Janine Harris and Leah Elzner to the staff. Ms. Harris will be teaching Level 3A: Ballet and Pointe. Ms. Elzner will teach Ballet once a week to Level 3B. Both Janine and Leah have had incredible careers as professional dancers and exceptional teachers. ...See their bios Also, welcome back Gregory Gilman as the new full-time Hip Hop teacher. Mr. Gilman taught for the Summer Intensive. Paris Ballet and Dance is very pleased to have them on the staff! JULY 19, 2011 Paris Ballet and Dance’s very own School Administrator Lois Hammel just had knee surgery yesterday. She’s doing really well and already in physical therapy. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! JULY 18, 2011 Mr. Feray and the entire staff at Paris Ballet and Dance are very happy and proud of everyone’s hard work this past year. The Placement Letter, along with registration forms and other information has been mailed to everyone. Please be well assured that students have been carefully and professionally placed in their proper levels. This is a final decision unless it is changed at the discretion of Director Mr. Feray.
