Ms. Matos, Director and Comprehensive Instructor of the Children and Young Dancer Program at Joffrey Ballet School trained at the School of the Hartford Ballet and performed with Dance Now! In 1996, she received a BFA in Dance for Children from the University of Hartford. Ms. Matos has over 30 years experience as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and arts administrator at many prestigious institutions, including Ballet Hispanico and the University of Hartford. She is also the co-founder of "Dancing Day," a school that brings dance to disabled children and adults. Her work with autism and dance was featured in PBS documentaries in 1999 and 2004.

Ms. Matos is also the artistic director of the Joffrey Ballet School Miami Program and will also be, auditioning Paris Ballet and Dance students who taking the classes. As part of the Collaboration Program's Master Class Series, Paris Ballet and Dance students are prioritized for potential Scholarships for all their Summer Programs! 

These Master Classes NOT open to the general public. They are just for Paris Ballet and Dance students.Please note: There is no guarantee all Paris Ballet and Dance students will be accepted or receive scholarships. However, with the Collaboration between the Joffrey Ballet School and Paris Ballet and dance Students are prioritized.

This two hour Master Class is OPEN to the general public.

Matthew Prescott, born and raised in Idaho, graduated high school from Interlochen Arts Academy and attended the inaugural year of the Joffrey/New School University in New York City. In 2000, he joined the Joffrey Ballet for a number of years before setting out as a freelance artist. 

Working as a freelancer, Matthew has worked and performed with Donald Byrd’s Spectrum Dance Theater, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Ballet NY, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Amanda Miller, The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, The Alabama Ballet, Armitage Gone! Dance, BalletX, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Morphoses the Wheeldon Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Dominic Walsh Dance Theater. 

Matthew was featured in Robert Altman’s film The Company. Matthew has choreographed works performed by Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Chamber Dance Project, the Joffrey Ballet School, BalletX, Interlochen Arts Academy 50th anniversary Collage performance, for Misty Copeland for Prince’s Coming to America 2010 Madison Square Garden performances, and the Vail International Dance Festival.

Matthew made his Broadway debut as the Resident Choreographer on the national tour of Billy Elliot as well as performing the roll of Older Billy. Matthew was honored to be the choreographer for French director Philippe Calvario’s Broadway Musical workshop of Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Paris Ballet and Dance, in conjunction with The Joffrey Ballet School Outreach and Collaboration Program offers master classes throughout the year. Students will have the opportunity to benefit from learning form the great teachers selected from The Joffrey Ballet School.

Master Classes from other renowned teachers may be a part of Paris Ballet and Dance's curriculum, as well. Students also have the privilege to be taught by special guest teachers from time to time.
