KEEP-UP-TO-DATE ON THE
COVID -19: HEALTH AND SAFETY PAGE!

AUGUST 10, 2020
A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Dear Students and Families,

It certainly has been a tough year. All of you have been
doing the right thing while using plain common sense
with isolating, proper social distancing, wearing masks,
and constantly washing hands and trying to keep
sanitized. It is nice to be responsible and help limit the
|spread of the virus in any way we can.

From the beginning and during this “ordeal,” I would like
to thank all of you for working so hard taking the
Studio's Zoom Classes, my weekly free International
Ballet Class Series which I provided on Instagram, private
classes and now, during the Summer Courses. It means
so much to witness your diligence, hard work and
dedication. I also completely understand the
reservations one may have with sending their children to
participate in a class with others or trying to handle the
financial obligations of taking care of their daily living
necessities.

With Online Open Registration going on right now and
|classes starting on September 1, 2020, please rest
assured that my staff and I have done everything possible
to keep you and your families as safe as possible while
following all the guidelines and restrictions set forth, and
will continue to do so as long as necessary. As I
reported before, I have also scheduled the studio to be
professionally sanitized every month for an entire year.
|This of course, is above and beyond the daily deep
cleaning that was taking place before the pandemic.

Thank you very much for your support and your trust in me. My staff and I at Paris Ballet and Dance, and Paris Ballet Conservatory is very much honored, and appreciates it! I love and care about each and everyone of you.

This pandemic will not stop the joy and passion of dance! It’s going to be a great new dance year. Let us keep making a difference!

Sincerely,
Jean-Hugues Feray
Founder and Director Paris Ballet and Dance, and Paris Ballet Conservatory

I would like to thank Directors Steve Beirens and Hannah Dorfmueller of Le Jeune Dance. It was an extreme
pleasure to be part of last weekend’s performances of Don Quixote Suite and other Works, in Anderson, Ohio. It takes a lot of time and work to organize and run a show of this size. Thank you to the wonderful dancers, families, staff and volunteers of Le Jeune Dance. Thank you to the production staff and the crew of The Anderson Center. Also, thank you to all the parents of my students who are there every day! I can not tell you how much I appreciate all of you.

PARIS BALLET AT YOUTH AMERICA GRAND PRIX
Today, Competitors Sebastian Bondar, Caelan Gagnon, Lily Golish and Devon Luxton with Director Jean-Hugues Feray head out to Winston-Salem, North Carolina for Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals. Competition begins on January 23, 2019.

It it important to note on an international scale, Youth America Grand Prix is like the Olympics. The competition is long, rough and tough! Students train and are coached hours and hours each day. Only the best of the best make it through Semi-Finals to get to the Finals. In the past, Paris Ballet and Dance’s has done very well sending several students to the Finals in New York.

While having great scores and the possibility of winning are great, there are other outcomes which are very
important. Students are seen by the some of the most important luminaries of the dance world. These young
dancers can be offered a contract into a major international dance company. However, it is also very important to know most of the world's greatest dancers have never competed nor have they wanted to do so.

Through this competition Paris Ballet and Dance, and Paris Ballet Conservatory students have been offered
positions and scholarships to some of the most renown Summer Intensives in the world including France, Italy, The Netherlands, Russia/NY, and of course the USA.
Best wishes to every single competitor this week and weekend!                             ...SEE PHOTOS ON FACEBOOK
